The Expedition jacket & Pants are ready for just that—a motorcycle trip to whatever far flung corner you feel like going. IN our case, all the way down to ushuaia.

Built from the same uber-fabric as our perennial favorite Skyline Jacket —but just more layers of it—this jacket is highly abrasion resistant, and comes with more armor than many other products out there.

In addition to shoulder, elbow and back protectors, it also gets two smart chest panels—all of which are removable.

It’s also waterproof, and refreshingly it doesn’t rely on an internal membrane that sacrifices a soggy and heavy outer shell. This sucker is seam-sealed up the wazoo. And when all its various vents are zipped close, it’s as warm as you make it with supporting under-layers.

Open it up, though, and this jacket vents like no other—two half-body chest vents run from the shoulders to waist; pit-zip vents run from elbow to waist; two half-body back vents; and forearm pockets with mesh liners allow for ample airflow throughout the jacket.

Designed with the ergonomics of long distance touring in mind, the Expedition is constructed with articulated elbows and shoulders for ease of movement. Two-way zipper and interior bottom hem cord allows you to adjust how the jacket sits while in the seated position. Adjustable velcro straps at the waist, bicep, and forearm allow the jacket to be cinched down or loosened for layering underneath, while velcro cuffs can be adjusted to accommodate gauntlet or short gloves.

AIR FLOW LIKE NO OTHER

Two half-body chest vents run from the shoulders to waist, pit-zip vents run from elbow to waist, two half-body back vents, and forearm pockets with mesh liners, allow for ample airflow throughout the jacket.

Made from a 3-layer Japanese field nylon, this heavy-duty fabric is abrasion-resistant, waterproof, and surprisingly breathable. This fabric has been doubled layered in critical impact areas along the shoulders, sleeves, and back for additional protection.

Designed in tandem with the Expedition Motorcycle Pants, a zipper attachment allows the two pieces to be worn together as a full body suit.

Unlike the detachable waterproof liners commonly used in motorcycle apparel, the Expedition jacket is fully seam sealed, making the entire garment waterproof on its own.

STORAGE HEAVEN

It also features a lot of storage options, including: a zippered right chest pocket, zippered arm pocket, front drop pocket, zippered front pocket, and two zippered hand pockets—plus a large lower back pocket.

A hidden interior pocket also gives you a place to store critical valuables, like a passport and pertinent travel documents.

IMPACT PROTECTION

For protective padding, we partnered with D3O®, an industry leader in shock-absorbing body armor. D3O® pads are malleable when handled at slow speeds, but tighten upon high impact to absorb energy.

The Expedition jacket features the standard shoulder, elbow, and back pads, as well as two fully-integrated front chest pads that don’t get in the way of the front zipper.

ADJUSTABLE  FIT

Adjustable velcro straps at the waist, bicep, and forearm allow the jacket to be cinched down or loosened for layering underneath, while velcro cuffs can be adjusted to accommodate gauntlet or short gloves.

For us this is important for different stages of the trip. If we need to wear a sweater or heated vest underneath we can use the straps to adjust to a perfect relaxed fit.
